Last last week at my other tax blog: Gun, ammo taxes and tax processing delays create FAFSA problems
You know it's the heart of tax-filing season when my blogging gets jammed up. That's what happened last weekend when I missed my regular last week at my other tax blog post. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
First was a look at the ways governments use tax policy to shape individual actions and attitudes. Currently, taxes on weapons, both ammunition and guns themselves are popping up nationwide.
Then later in the week before last, the topic was how delays in processing some returns that included an incorrectly completed education tax credit form is causing problems for folks seeking college financial aid.
Without final word on their tax returns, many who filed FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, can't get a final determination on the amount of money they'll get to pay higher education costs.
You can check out my posts at Bankrate Taxes Blog, usually each Tuesday and Thursday. But if you happen to miss them there, you can find a wrap-up here the following weekend.
Or, in this case, the next weekend!
